Product Overview
Today’s classrooms present many challenges. More diverse student populations, the inclusion of students with disabilities, the increase of multilingual students, and the learning loss issues in the aftermath of the pandemic, are only a few of the many issues that make the elementary teaching experience more demanding. So, addressing the common behavior problems that may often arise in today’s classrooms only adds additional burdens to the job of being an elementary teacher. Toward that end, teachers need specific and targeted help with constructive approaches to lift that burden.
Dr. Kenneth Shore provides elementary school teachers with tried and tested strategies to manage behavior problems often exhibited by students in their classrooms. Most of the strategies provided are appropriate for individual students, while others can be implemented with an entire class. The strategies address ten (10) critical behavior problem areas:
- Attention Deficit
- Hyperactivity
- Calling Out
- Excessive Talking
- Teasing
- Disrespectful Behavior
- Social Isolation
- Disorganization
- Lack of Motivation
- Homework Problems
This reference guide is designed as a valuable staff development resource that every elementary teacher needs to be more successful in the behavior management of their classrooms.
