RTI/MTSS

Response To Intervention, or RTI, is a research-based process schools can use to identify at-risk students, monitor student progress, and help children who are struggling academically or behaviorally by providing targeted interventions which may or may not include special education services. The pyramid model of RTI is based on three different levels of progressively intensive intervention. MTSS has a broader scope and addresses academic as well as social and emotional areas (non-academic), including behavior and other topics such as attendance.
