Product Overview
Few areas of education have as many specialized terms, abbreviations, and acronyms as the field of special education. With so much unique terminology, it can sometimes read like a new language. Whether you are a teacher, paraeducator, or support staff, or are studying to be a special education professional, it is essential to know the important educational terms used in the field. Parents of children with special needs also need to know what many of these terms mean as they try to successfully navigate the educational system.
This quick-reference laminated guide by Joseph Casbarro provides a comprehensive list of some of the most commonly used terms and acronyms in the field of special education. Definitions for over 100 terms and acronyms are provided, however there may be additional terms specific to your state or school that you need to know, so be sure to check with your state education department and/or your local district so you can add those to your knowledge base.
