Mental Health & SEL

Education of the whole child entails attention to students' mental/emotional health and progression as well as to their level of academic proficiency and academic progress. Although mental health and psychology are primarily the purview of the school psychologist or school counselor, all educators should be well versed in issues related to students' mental health. Addressing the whole child includes social emotional learning or SEL.
