Dangers in Your House: Focuses on the drugs youngsters of this age are most likely to be exposed to
such as common household products that can be inhaled or huffed and
over-the-counter and prescription medications commonly found in the family
medicine chest. Program points out the clear differences between a doctor’s prescribed medication for another family member or acquaintance and the dangerous consequences of taking other peoples medication for oneself.
The Power of No: This video focuses on 4 short dramas in which elementary children are confronted with a decision on whether to try a substance or to choose not to try it and get help from an adult instead. The scenarios involve alcohol, tobacco, cough syrup and air freshener. The message is clear: learning important refusal skills can save your health as well as your life.
